Dave Boden-Hook, Managing Director of Wright Medics and Head of Management Services for Wright Brothers Industrial Services, has recently been appointed the new Chair of the CCNSG Committee.

A testament to his dedication to improving health and safety for companies all over the country, Dave has assumed leadership of the CCNSG Committee, guiding the direction of the Safety Passport programme.

Dave shares his thoughts on his recent promotion, and the importance of the work that the CCNSG Committee carries out. He said: ‘I have seen first-hand the impact the CCNSG Safety Passport has made on the business. Since we introduced this one card for all of our personnel, the number of health and safety incidents has significantly reduced.

It has been the cornerstone of improving our health and safety performance.’

An overview of the CCNSG

The CCNSG (Client Contractor National Safety Passport Training) is the nationally recognised qualification for site work, to help contractors work safely within the construction and engineering industries.

For more than three decades, the CCNSG has remained steadfast in its mission to ensure that both employees and employers alike know their responsibilities, and are equipped with the necessary measures to uphold workplace safety standards.

Commitment to growth

Dave offers more than 15 years of invaluable experience in presenting the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board’s (ECITB) course, providing insightful teaching to the committee.

Not only is Dave a seasoned training provider, he also possesses the experience of a prominent contractor within the engineering and construction industry (ECI), enriching discussions with his wealth of experience.

Dave has taken over from Mark Riley, who is confident in Dave’s ability to drive the CCNSG towards continual growth and excellence.

Mark says ‘I know I am leaving this in good hands with Dave at the helm… I implore the committee to maintain the excellent quality of the programme.’
